How does it work?

Tarot is a centuries-old practice using a deck of cards, based on the original 52 card playing deck, where multi-layered imagery and symbolism help to tell the story of each card’s meaning. Each card that appears in a reading has a message that relates to your question, and readers use these messages plus intuition to interpret your reading and offer guidance for your situation.

The theme can change from deck to deck (i.e., Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, Angel tarot, pumpkin tarot, etc), but the structure and general meaning of the cards pretty much stays the same.
