One part philosophy, one part spirituality, and one part lifestyle, this course is a meeting place of the physical world and the spiritual.  It is for anyone sensitive to energy who’s looking to develop a healing practice or add to their current practice, while rebuilding their relationship to the energy and living beings around us at all times. No prior healing experience is required.

Terra - Earth

Following the cycle of nature, TerraMa moves through 9 modules of practice and discussion, beginning with Air.

Air represents new beginnings, Spring, thoughts, and communication. In modules 1 & 2, you’ll practice meditation and visualization techniques to strengthen your intuition and psychic abilities. You’ll also learn techniques to help you reframe old experiences.

We’ll discuss what’s Appropriate vs. Appropriation in our practice, the importance of listening and saying “thank you,” having integrity in our practice, and how not just our words matter, but our thoughts, too.

These techniques are the building blocks of the course, leading to more confidence and a clearer connection to messages you receive, whether from guides, dreams, or your own intuition. This is where you rebuild your relationship with yourself and your own mind.

Fire rules Summer, our passions, spirit and actions, and in modules 3 & 4 you’ll connect to the energies of objects, plants, and animals, and those within yourself.  You’ll learn how to make herbal medicine and connect to your guides, an even clearer way to receive messages and information for your personal practice.

In discussion we’ll talk about boundaries and consent, and the miracle of life that exists within everything.

These modules are where you build and strengthen your relationship to your spiritual team and Mother Earth.

The element of Water holds our intuition and the memory of all stories that have ever been told. It’s the home of our emotions, times of release, and Autumn. In modules 5 & 6 you’ll learn scrying, dowsing, and how to read Tarot. We’ll practice cleansings of all kinds and how to move and safely release energy blocks. 

We’ll discuss how to tell your energy from others, how to build and work with your personal database of symbols, setting intentions, and timings in your practice.

These are the modules where we start getting to know the “rock stars” of energy work - the modalities everyone knows and loves, but that really need the building blocks in place in order to be successful.

As we focus on the element of Earth: the realm of Winter, the physical world, deep rest and the dark of night, we’ll move into modules 7 & 8. Here we focus on journeying, dream work, and visiting ancestors and past lives - more “rock stars” of energy work. We’ll also have a little fun with reading the energies of objects we’ll each bring.

We’ll talk about the differences between astral travel, journeying, and dreams, and how to set up your own sacred space.

Most importantly, we’ll take a moment as a group to offer healing to the land we live on and the people it was taken from.

From here, you can build a personal practice of prayer and ritual that connects you to your own ancestral lineage based on guidance you’ve received throughout the course. 

​As we close the cycle, the course ends in module 9 with a celebration of all you’ve learned.  Together you'll make your own prayer staffs with the guidance you've received throughout the course.  Then we’ll gather for a potluck (in person if you can, online if you can’t) where you’ll have a chance to practice with and receive from your fellow students in a practice party.

This is a LOT of material. It’s not easy work, but it’s not about being perfect, either. It’s about slowing down and giving yourself time and space. It’s about rebuilding relationships. You will get out of this course what you put into it.

I also want to be clear that this course is NOT shamanism. Shamanic practices connect to a specific indigenous culture, and TerraMa does not do that. Rather, we learn practices that are universal from culture to culture, allowing you to take them and apply them to your own ancestry and lineage as it’s appropriate. In fact, that’s what we talk about on Day One.
